Through these topics we are exploring concepts like how direct application of base (Foundation) and centering (moving from larger joints) affect asana and can create more ease in practice. We take a deeper look at the subtle anatomy through exploring the cakras, including specific details on the nerves plexes and the glands associated with each chakra as well as looking at the hormones secreted by the various glands and then relating that to poses and their affects. Finally, we spend time looking at the mindbody connection that creates muscle activation and relaxation when holding a pose, and which muscles we can activate or relax in any given pose to move more fully into the full expression of the pose for your body.
