Physical activity, athletic performance and recovery from exercise are enhanced by optimal nutrition. It is essential that fitness professionals recommend the appropriate selection of food and fluids and timing of intake for optimal health and exercise performance. In this workshop, fitness professionals will learn how to use of carbohydrate, fat, protein, vitamins, minerals and fluids before, during and after training. Fitness professionals will come away with specific examples of pre and post-exercise meals and snacks, as well as knowledge of appropriate recommendations regarding supplements and nutritional ergogenic aids.
