This interactive course helps learners understand and apply the basic principles of exercise nutrition. Exercise Nutrition 2.0, by Marie Dunford, serves as the foundation text for the course and is included in the course as a PDF file. The text covers basic nutrition information that helps learners as they work through the course. In the online course, learners assume the role of a personal trainer and mentored by a fitness supervisor and registered dietitian. The course is organized into six units, The Fuel Supply, Carbohydrate, Fat, Protein, Dehydration, and Vitamins and Minerals. For each topic, learners complete a series of interactive activities that allow them to apply the nutrition concepts to five different clients. These clients include a bodybuilder, collegiate rower, triathlete, recreational soccer player, and a new fitness participant. The course concludes with a 50-question test.
