A strong foundation will be presented on the normal and abnormal kinesiology of the upper extremity and adjacent trunk. Through a format of lecture, demonstration, and written materials, kinesiologic principles will be integrated with the latest approach to exercise prescription and performance, regardless of age or level of performance. Exercises are presented in a progressive manner, from isolated to integrated movements. These unique and clinically relevant exercise progressions can be immediately incorporated to improve clinic practice. As exercises are presented, coaching cues, corrective techniques, and common technique faults will be highlighted. Many patient/client cases are incorporated to provide insight into the clinical reasoning behind exercise prescription, and to highlight the specificity to which exercise programs can be tailored to each patient/client.
