This workshop will be both lecture based, as well as practical in learning how to teach various formats of aquatics. During this course, 10 specific aquatics styles will be learned; Shallow H20 training, Aqua Jogging, Deep Water, Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Programs, Gravity Free Training, Aqua Zumba, Tread Training, Bootcamp, and Power and Strength. Varied equipment will be used such as, Frisbees, aqua dumbbells, noodles, gloves, and body weight. The importance of a well-rounded workout offering options and modifications for all fitness levels will be discussed and role playing of these hypothetical situations will occur. Participants in this course will obtain sample aquatic sequences and exercises, as well as learn how to adapt to group that they are teaching to. During this course time management, fitness level, and other obscure situations will be addressed. Participants will also experience a sample aqua class.
