Firefighter Wellness Mutual Aid: Interagency Training, 2014 Q1

During the Introduction, personnel will learn the missions and intent of the inter-agency training. It will include highlights on administrative and operational application and how personnel can use it to advance their programs. The mini-workshops will include a short session of understanding the purpose of and parameters for using plyometrics in firefighter training, coupled with an engaging classroom workshop that simulates what it’s like to make nutrition decisions when you have an endocrine disorder. The main training evolution is a hands on instructional exercise course focusing on teamwork and regulating training loads while on duty. The purpose is to expose firefighting trainers to alternative exercises, work-rest variations, and unconventional equipment uses.
