The JrFit™ Youth Fitness Specialty Certification, designed for certified fitness professionals who want to safely and effectively work with youth, offers knowledge on nutrition, building physical conditioning programs and sport-specific training for ages 7-18. Combat the obesity epidemic among children by becoming an expert in strength training, group fitness and cardiorespiratory fitness for children and teenagers. Course includes three core texts: Strength & Power for Young Athletes, Athletic Fitness for Kids, and Fuel for Young Athletes.

You will learn:

  • To guide youth in developing a functional musculoskeletal system
  • Safe and effective program prescription, correct training techniques and form, and injury prevention for youth
  • Equipment and exercises to use for total-body essential movements that incorporate flexibility, coordination, balance, stamina, strength, speed and agility
