ACE Announces New Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing
SAN DIEGO (September 7, 2010)—The American Council on Exercise (ACE), America’s leading authority on fitness and the largest fitness certification, education and training organization in the world, today announced the appointment of Janet Frenkel as executive vice president of sales and marketing, a newly-created position. Frenkel brings more than 10 years of leadership in the healthcare industry to this role, where she will be responsible for developing and executing business strategies that will maximize ACE’s sales and marketing opportunities.
“Janet is an energetic leader with a broad range of experience and a proven track record of success in corporate strategy, new business and program development, and communications management, and we are thrilled that she is joining the ACE executive team,” says Scott Goudeseune, ACE’s president and CEO. “As ACE continues to set certification and education standards for fitness instructors and the general public, we will look to her to strengthen our strategic direction and further expand our consumer outreach.”
Before joining ACE, Frenkel served as chief executive officer and founder of The Frenkel Group, Inc., a management consulting firm focused on the healthcare sector, where she specialized in leadership development, member satisfaction, operational efficiency, succession planning and employee engagement. Prior to launching The Frenkel Group, Inc., she was managing director at Leadership Forward, Inc., a leading healthcare consulting firm. During her tenure at Leadership Forward, Frenkel led business development, where she identified and implemented innovative programs and processes, combined with successful CRM strategies and marketing initiatives which resulted in a 75% growth in client base.
Frenkel has also been a consultant for the Strategic Resources Group, Inc. and held the vice president of sales and marketing position at Sterling Research Group. She began her management career as a vice president with The Gallup Organization and received her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University.
