| These FREE* health and fitness posters are part of the ACE Public Service Campaign which focuses on the important issues of obesity in children, the need for moderate physical activity to prolong life, and the dangers of training with an uncertified fitness instructor. Hang these posters in the locker room, on a community bulletin board or in a school gymnasium. Help us get these crucial messages out to the public. Dog PSA Headline: "Think of her as an exercise machine with hair." Message: "You don't have to join a gym to get a workout. Recent studies show that every hour of moderate physical activity can add two hours to your life. So there's no need to radically alter your exercise habits to improve your health, and live longer!" Bike PSA Headline: "Unfortunately, its motor is inside playing video games." Message: Encourages Active Kids – "Kids spend several hours a day playing video games and less than 15 minutes in P.E. Many are obese, and nearly half exhibit risk factors of heart disease." Duck PSA Headline: "You don't go to an unlicensed doctor... why work out with an uncertified trainer?" Message: "Personal trainers. Gym staff. Group fitness instructors. They're supposed to be pros. Yet many are not." What is Public Service Advertising? Public service advertising is commonly defined as "advertising that serves the public interest." The majority of public service advertisements (PSAs) run as a community service at no charge by the media. The objectives of these ads are education and awareness of significant social issues in an effort to change the public's attitudes and behaviors and stimulate positive social change.
