About
I am a certified/ Licensed athletic trainer with a Masters degree in Exercise Science. I am currently pursuing a physical therapy assistant license. I have been involved in health, weelness, and personal training for over 20 years doing everything from running and employee fitness center, to teaching step bench classes, to rehabilitation of various injuries and surgeries. I specialize in working with adults who have "boomeritis and beyond" and need more direction than the "twenty something" healthy adult. I myself am not too far from this age category so I can sympathize and relate to many of the problems and concerns of the above 40 population. I actually have another very unique perspective on exercise, nutrition, and weight training after being diagnosed with cancer in December of 2008, having a double mastectomy, undergoing chemotherapy for 8 months, and following that with radiation treatments. This "adventure" has shown me that all of us are capable of so much more than we ever thought imaginable and I hope I can portray this "power to overcome adversity" onto my clients I work with. All of us no matter what our strugles (weight, injuries, etc.) can do so much with a positive attitude and perserverence.
