As a late bloomer, I was 49 when I became an ACE certified Personal Trainer and ran my first marathon. Now at 58 I have continued my study to become an Advanced Health & Fitness Specialist with an emphasis on working with older adults and special populations. My family, impressed with my determination to be the best had short lived concerns that the public would want younger trainers. However my attitude and continue education like becoming a Spinning Instructor at 57 years old has proven helpful in overcoming the "age" obstacle. My clients confidence in my abilites continues to propel me forward in the fitness ring. And my age...well, that "obstacle" now a plus as it shows my experience, knowlege and even my personal aches and pains helps me understand their fitness obstacles. My desire to attract and help the men and women I work with to reach their fitness goals inspires clients that may have mistakenly believed it was too late for them to run faster, jump higher and feel better about themselves.
