About
I am a Health Coach. I will be your friend and partner in your journey to become healthy and fit. I am a retired Police Captain. As a police supervisor for 25 years, I was a role model, mentor, and motivator. I also recently retired from my position as an adjunct college professor for 25 years. I taught leadership, supervision, and management; how to lead, motivate, encourage and achieve. I also taught a class in Health and Wellness for active police officers. I have a Master's degree in Counseling. I am a Peer Support member of the Chicago Police Department. As such, I respond to traumatic incidents or simply to requests for support from police officers experiencing PTSD or depression. I engage in active listening and am empathic, compassionate and understanding. I am 72 years old and fit and healthy. I do not have washboard abs, lol, but look and feel much younger than my years, which I attribute to lifestyle. I offer my services to anyone who desires to achieve a healthy lifestyle, but I imagine I would be particularly helpful and effective with seniors. I believe I can inspire, motivate, and be your partner and friend in your successful journey to health and fitness. I do not believe in diets, nor do I subscribe to "no pain, no gain" philosophies. Moderation in all things. Baby steps. I have certified as a Weight Management Specialist and a Nutrition Advisor. As such I am able to offer expert nutrition and exercise guidance to help you achieve your goals. I want to be your coach, your mentor, your confidant, and your friend.
