I have worked with the general population as a fitness coach and group instructor at the South Valley Family YMCA in San Jose, CA for 4.5 years. In addition, I specialized in teaching the Living Strong, Living Well class (in partnership with the Stanford Medical Center) for cancer survivors, which teaches flexibility, cardiovascular, and strength training to those clients who are cancer survivors currently undergoing treatment and those clients who have been cancer-free. I received specialized training in March, 2009 as a Cancer Exercise Specialist to augment my education in this area. I deeply empathize with cancer patients, as I am a cancer survivor myself. Currently, I have branched off on my own as a Personal Trainer specializing in one-on-one training for cancer survivors as well as a certified cycling coach.
