About

Since I acquired my first weight set at 12 years old, I have diligently pursued all avenues of fitness. I played high school football and was an avid body builder in my twenties. I still maintain that enthusiasm even after 40 years. For years I have helped train friends and relatives in various methods to stay in shape and lead more energetic lives. I have continuously kept abreast of the latest techniques, modes and disciplines to improve one’s health. I’ve instructed body builders and athletes as well as older people who just want to be able to play with their grandchildren. Because I’m 52 years old I think that I have a particularly good feel for what older people go through. I’ve had the aches and pains one gets as we all grow older. I’ve personally experienced back and elbow bone spur surgery, a sprained ankle, torn biceps and pectoral muscles, tennis elbow and enough other aches and pains to last a lifetime. I know about the feelings of stiffness in the morning, the loss of flexibility and coordination and the longer recuperation times that come with age. Our bodies are not the same as when we were 25 and our training routine must reflect that. The good news is that we can slow and sometimes reverse the adverse effects of getting older through proper exercise. Who better to help then someone who has experienced it all first hand? My personal training philosophy is based on the fact that most people want to be healthy but few want to spend extended time exercising. I believe in a scientific approach to training that produces results without spending all your free time sweating. The proper exercise design will produce better results in less time than just “winging it.” I became an ACE certified personal trainer to pursue my fitness passion professionally. Helping others to remain healthy so that they can pursue their own passions is more than just a job to me.
