I have been involved in the health field for the last 17 years in many different capacities. I have worked as a Personal Trainer/Exercise Physiologist and a collegiate strength and conditioning coach. In addition I have lectured as a health educator to schools and community groups. I have also written wellness articles covering areas such as weight loss, elite training, exercising with chronic conditions, such as CVD and diabetes and pregnancy. I have also worked as an Assistant Athletic Trainer giving me additional experience in injury prevention and rehabilitation. In addition I have an advanced degree in exercise physiology with research experience in carbohydrate metabolism during exercise and in my spare time I am conducting cancer research at Columbia University while pursuing a second masters in Public Health.
