About
I train both indoor (in a gym) and outdoor (bootcamp classes) and the best method of training is a combination of both. Indoor I stay away from the machines and instead use stability balls, medicine balls, exercise bands, exercise tubes, BOSU ball, cables and dumbbells as these work on strength but also the core (abdominals and lower back). Outdoor I use cones, agility ladders (for quickness and agility) and different foot works to improve both muscle and cardiovascular (the heart) strength. Whether you are exercising to gain muscle or to lose fat you have to pay attention to what you eat so I make sure that we also talk about nutrition as I am studying for the Lifestyle and Weight Management Certification. I practice in my own life what I preach as I work out regularly, eat healthy, and don’t smoke or drink. I have been working out for over 10 years and in the last few years started participating in 5k races including adventure runs and triathlons. Besides focusing on my mind and body I also focus on my spirituality by following the teachings of the Baha'i faith.
