My training philosophy is based on producing practical and functional benefits. I can help you achieve aesthetic "mirror-muscle" changes but I want you to also experience an improved quality of life. I teach classes and work personally with clients basing each workout on the following: safe, effective and enjoyable. I am trained and certified to teach many of the "cool and trendy" exercise formats but choose not to because I don't feel these exercises meet my personal criteria which includes safety. I feel it is counter-productive to follow a regimen that is high-risk. Effective: Each of my workouts is highly efficient, packing as much work as possible into each hour. In my fitness classes: macro and micro cycles are followed, workouts alternate between cardio-based and strength-based, I own a complete audio library, there is an emphasis on functional improvements and core strength, the last 15 minutes are always abdominals and stretch. Cardio includes step, kick-boxing, calisthenics and hi-low. Strength includes weighted straps, elastic bands, free weights and body weight exercises. Class times are 8:30-9:30 am each weekday and 6:00-7:00 am MWF. I begin and end my sessions on time. Entertaining: I own a complete audio library of professional aerobic music (classic rock, country, Broadway show tunes, '60s, disco, swing/big band, Motown, Christian, Christmas and patriotic). My choreography is never confusing! It is not fun (even as an experienced instructor) to particiapte in a class where you have no idea what is going on. I plan and document each of my classes in advance based on the macro and micro cycles mentioned earlier. My classes are always evolving to maintain the highest possible degree of progression. I am personable, approachable and sincerely interested in helping you achieve your personal best.
