Meet Ernestine Shepherd , the 75-year-old Baltimore native who was named the world's oldest female bodybuilder in the 2011 Guinness Book of World Records.
She runs 10 miles per day, competes in bikini fitness competitions across the country and even teaches a fitness class at her church.
Shepherd, who decided she wanted to start bodybuilding at the age of 71, says she was inspired by her late sister to get fit after a lifetime of being “too prissy” to be athletic.
"Miss Ernie," as she’s known in the world of competitive bodybuilding, has attracted international attention over the weekend thanks to a feature on the BBC.
"If ever there were an anti-aging pill," Shepherd says. "I would call it exercise."
