Gym Turns Spinning into Green Activity, Reduces Carbon Footprint

Exercise is beneficial for your body, but what if it also helped the environment?

One gym in Hadley, Mass. is helping turn the output of exercise into renewable energy, reported NBC News. At Energia, the spinning bikes have been retrofitted by the company, The Green Revolution, so that workouts then supply the demand for electricity from the utilities in the gym.

According to NBC News, an average one-hour workout produces enough energy to power two laptops.
