INDIANAPOLIS – The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the American Council on Exercise (ACE) are pleased to announce their continued marketing partnership to bring ACSM’s annual Health & Fitness Summit and Exposition to a larger group of fitness professionals. The event will be held at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada March 29-April 1, 2005.

“This partnership, now in its third year, represents an important step in driving forward the industry and the field,” said Dr. Cedric Bryant, chief exercise physiologist for ACE. “The Summit provides health and fitness practitioners with an unparalleled continuing education opportunity. It is truly the ‘conference of choice’ for both ACSM and ACE fitness professionals.”

Exercise scientists, personal trainers, researchers, sports medicine physicians and students will attend this four-day event to hear the latest information meant to bridge the gap between science and practice.

“Working with ACE will extend our outreach to a wider audience of health and fitness professionals, allowing ACSM to further its mission,” said Jim Whitehead, executive vice president of ACSM. “ACSM looks forward to reaching additional ACE professionals and to provide a quality program that strengthens their credentials. Ultimately, that benefits the consumer.”

The 2005 Summit programming will expand on popular tracks in nutrition, exercise for special populations, mind/body strategies, personal training and assessment, sports medicine and exercise program design. For more information please visit www.acsm.org .
