Victoria Kreutzkamp, Scott Curry to Enlist Help from Fitness Industry, Education, Corporate Leaders and Health Care in Eliminating Obesity Epidemic

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Aug. xx, 2013) – American Council on Exercise (ACE) has added two members to its executive team in an effort to help the organization build new partnerships and enlist support from the fitness industry, educational institutions, corporate leaders and health-care providers in its fight against the obesity epidemic.

Vice President of Business Development Victoria Kreutzkamp and Vice President of Marketing Scott Curry have been tasked with identifying and forming collaborative relationships that will help ACE uphold standards for health and fitness professionals, increase access to fitness facilities, educate the public and influence policy that supports those causes.

“Since we set our sights on eliminating the obesity epidemic a few years ago, our needs as an organization have evolved,” said ACE President and CEO Scott Goudeseune. “We need team members who can help us enlist partners who share our values. We know we can’t eliminate the obesity epidemic alone. We need involvement from people, organizations and businesses from all walks of life, and Victoria and Scott are the perfect duo to form those relationships.”

A new addition to the ACE team, Kreutzkamp brings a diverse background in sales operations leadership, strategic planning and execution, customer relationship management, business-to-business and business-to-consumer sales. For the past 20 years, she has built her career in the weight management industry at Jenny Craig Inc., a global leader in weight management.

Her focus at ACE will be to lead new business development teams to form and cultivate strategic alliances that will contribute to market expansion, add innovation, increase impact and support the fight against the obesity epidemic.

After spending nearly two years at the helm as Marketing Director at ACE, Curry was promoted to his new role as Vice President of Marketing last month. His focus will be on developing and executing marketing and communications strategy to support organizational growth, and driving ACE branding across all products and business units. Together with Kreutzkamp, he will work to ensure that the ACE brand is properly positioned as a leader in health, fitness and wellness.

“Our goal with these new additions is to continue building the bridges with health care, policymakers, communities and corporate leaders we need to make a positive effect on our nation’s health,” Goudeseune said. “Aligning our efforts with like-minded people will determine whether we succeed in making a difference long term.”
